On June 11th, the project of “Innovation and application of ultrasound-enhanced protein intelligent processing and enzymatic membrane reactor” presided over by our institute of food physical processing (FPP) passed the technical appraisement organized by China National Light Industry Council.
Currently, the methods of protein extraction and enzymolysis at home and abroad are limited in some aspects, such as low processing efficiency, difficult quality control, low intelligent level, and lagging behind equipment development. To solve the aforementioned issues, our research group developed computer software for protein active function screening and hydrolysis-related parameter prediction, a technology of multi-mode ultrasound-enhanced protein processing and its related ultrasonic equipment, a technology of enzymatic membrane reactor with a novel gradient diafiltration feeding working-mode and its related equipment, and an intelligent control system for protein processing monitoring. These technical achievements have been successfully applied in many food enterprises and provide sufficient economic, societal, and ecological benefits.
The appraisal committee headed by Jian Chen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of Jiangnan University, deemed that the overall project reached the advanced international level.
