The inaugural meeting of the National Soybean Deep Processing Industrial Science and Technology Innovation Alliance was held in Shandong Our institute was elected as Vice-director Unit

  In order to vigorously develop the soybean industry, promote the soybean self-sufficiency rate and break the dilemma of the soybean industry, the National Soybean Deep Processing Industrial Science and Technology Innovation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the “Alliance”) was sponsored by the National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, and organized by Shandong Yuwang Industrial Co., Ltd. and Institute of Food Science and Technology CAAS on July 10th, under the guide and support of the Science and Technology Department of Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs. The inaugural meeting of the Alliance was held in Yucheng City, Shandong Province. Zhongwu Feng, the vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and secretary-general of the National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, Zhenhua Zhang, the vice-director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs, and other relevant leaders from Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Dezhou City attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

The Alliance is led by Shandong Yuwang Industrial Co., Ltd. and co-founded by our institute together with 45 leading enterprises and research institutions, including the Institute of Food Science and Technology CAAS, School of Food Science and Technology of Jiangnan University, and the Heilongjiang Jianshan Farm Co., Ltd. With the national brand of “Chinese soybean” as its banner, the Alliance adheres to the tenet of “integrating the global and national resources to revitalize the soybean industry of China”, focuses closely on the requirements of the national rural industrial revitalization strategy and market demands, and devotes itself to promoting industrial development with whole-chain scientific and technological innovation.

The secretary-general of the Alliance read out the name list of the Expert Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors. Professor Haile Ma of our institute was selected as a member of the Expert Advisory Committee, and our institute was elected as the vice-director unit of the Alliance. Director-general Xiqian Liu and vice-director Fengzhong Wang awarded plaques to our institute and 14 other vice-director units.

Academician Junyi Gai from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Cunxiang Wu from the National Soybean Industrial Technology System, and Director Fengzhong Wang from the Institute of Food Science and Technology CAAS were invited to give keynote reports. More than 200 representatives from enterprises and experts from research institutions in soybean processing attended the meeting online and offline.
