Technology Integration base for Vegetable Dehydration Processing Ministry of Agriculture was approved by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and constructed by Jiangsu University in 2016. The actual investment was 10.66 million yuan, of which 8.88 million yuan was allocated by the government. The integration base was completed and passed the acceptance in 2018. The vegetable dehydration base contains six pilot modules that fully reflect the scientific characteristics of Jiangsu University, including ultrasonic cleaning, infrared blanching, smart sorting, physical sterilization, intelligent storage, and energy-saving drying. The ultrasonic cleaning module consists of self-designed multi-frequency and sweep frequency ultrasound devices with bath-type and barrel-type. The infrared blanching module equips two sets of self-designed multi-stage variable temperature catalytic and electric infrared devices. For physical sterilization module, a self-designed rotatory infrared sterilization device and an electrothermal dry-steam sterilization device and a customized pulsed light sterilization device are equipped. The energy-saving drying module comprises a self-developed infrared drying instrument and a customized pulsed vacuum drying device and its related humidity control system.
